We have very low registrations for this event (many fencers are away at the moment) and it would not be viable to run the event with current numbers.
We will review registrations tomorrow evening (Wednesday).
Since the competition is a ranking event for Sabre and if numbers are still unviable we would propose running the McLeavey sabre event and the Pickworth foil ranking event together on Sunday September 17th.
Should we need to postpone the event, we will advertise this via Facebook and the Fencing North website and registration fees will be refunded.

This tournament will feature events in all disciplines ie. Foil, Epee and Sabre, but subject to recent changes to Fencing New Zealand competition policy, FeNZ ranking points will only be offered in the sabre events.
Fencing NZ and Fencing North welcome you to this competition being held in Auckland over Matariki weekend 15-16 July 2023.

Joyce Fenton was a National Womens Foil Champion in the 1960s and represented NZ at Foil in the Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver and in Kingston where she was a bronze medallist as part of the women’s Foil team.
